The Next “Randallized” House Project: 2018

As I write this, we officially have 14 days left in 2017. (How???)

This has been another whirlwind year. If you’ve been following our home adventures, you may remember that we sold our last house in April of this year. BITTERSWEET, let me tell you. (You can see the highlight video of the finished home here). #tear

We gave ourselves a little break after selling and moving out, and then like true addicts, we starting fiending for our next project. We had our eye on a sizeable, charming, dilapidated foreclosure nestled in a wooded cul-de-sac.

I won’t go on and on about the roller coaster of trying to buy a foreclosure, the long waiting game, the dashed hopes, and then more waiting. After a few months of emotional torture, we got the official yes on my birthday. This big, dilapidated, ramshackle was all ours!

My husband and I have been heads down in project planning spreadsheets, Pinterest boards, and plenty of meetings with our contractors. There have been several long nights and weekends, even before swinging a single sledgehammer. What do they say? Measure twice, cut once? Well…yeah, we’re in that phase.

After the new year, the sledgehammers will be a swangin’. And we can’t wait to share every exciting, dusty, overwhelming, creative moment with you.
